At age 12, he was selected as the vocalist and guitarist for OFFCORSS Band, a musical project led by producer Daniel Escobar, with whom he toured internationally in Colombia, Ecuador, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, and Mexico. This period marked his first professional foray into the music industry, participating in recordings, live shows, and audiovisual content that garnered hundreds of thousands of views. In 2017, he was admitted to the prestigious Berklee College of Music, one of the world's most renowned musical institutions. During his studies, Nico delved into music production, contemporary composition, and arranging, developing a comprehensive vision that combines artistic sensibility with a high level of technical skill.

During his time at Berklee, he was twice awarded Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation scholarships (2018 and 2019), a recognition given to young talents with high potential in Latin music. These scholarships not only supported his academic development but also connected him with an international network of creators and industry professionals.

During his time in Boston, he actively participated in high-level projects at the university, working with mentors such as Lee Abe, Renato Milone, and Javier Limón, and collaborating on productions that brought together musicians from around the world. One of the most significant milestones of this period was opening for Juan Luis Guerra at the Agganis Arena, marking a key moment in his transition to performing on large-scale professional stages.

In 2020, he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a double degree in Music Production & Engineering and Contemporary Writing & Production, also receiving the CWP Achievement Award as one of the most outstanding students of his generation.

After graduating, he moved to Miami, where he began developing professionally as a producer and composer. In 2021, he was selected as rhythm guitarist and keyboardist in the band of multi-platinum artist Camilo, marking a pivotal moment in his career. Throughout several international tours—including the Mis Manos Tour, De Adentro Pa' Afuera Tour, and Nuestro Lugar Feliz Tour—he has toured Latin America, the United States, and Europe, performing in hundreds of concerts.

Over time, his role evolved into Musical Director, leading the band on global stages and participating in the artistic development of live shows. He has also shared the stage with artists such as Alejandro Sanz, Carlos Vives, Pablo Alborán, and Nicky Nicole.

In the field of production, Nico has worked with a wide variety of Latin artists, including Andrés Cepeda, Ela Taubert, Evaluna Montaner, Carín León, AnnaSofia, Joaquina, and César Pinzón, among others. He has collaborated with renowned producers and songwriters such as Julio Reyes Copello, Edgar Barrera, and Nicolás Ramírez, and has also served as an engineering assistant on projects for artists like Diego Torres, Ricardo Montaner, and Mau y Ricky.

One of his most significant achievements came with his participation as co-producer, musician, and mixing engineer on Camilo's album Cuatro, certified Gold by the RIAA, and featuring singles like "Plis" and "Una Vida Pasada" certified Platinum. This work received three nominations at the 2024 Latin Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Contemporary Tropical Album.

As a songwriter, he has participated in high-impact projects within Latin pop. He notably co-wrote Andrés Cepeda's "Quiero Que Me Odies," recognized by Rolling Stone as one of the best songs of the year, and contributed to seven songs on Ela Taubert's album PREGUNTAS A LAS 11:11, which garnered millions of streams and established the artist as one of the genre's leading new voices.

Meanwhile, Nico has been developing his project as an artist, launching his solo career with singles like “Levita,” “Tornillos,” “1200 Meses,” and “Terremoto,” accumulating organic growth on digital platforms, social media, and virality on TikTok. As part of this evolution, he has begun taking his project to the stage, opening for Camilo in cities like Medellín, Marbella, and Valencia, further solidifying his identity in the live performance format.

He is currently developing his first studio album, a project that marks a new stage in his career, where he integrates his experience as a producer and composer with his own artistic vision. Through this release, he seeks to establish himself not only behind major productions within the industry, but also as an artistic voice with a distinct identity, international reach, and a modern vision of Latin pop.

With a solid musical foundation and a constantly expanding international reach, Nico González is positioning himself as part of a new generation of creators who are redefining the sound of Latin music globally.
